Steven Pressfield is a historical novelist whose works are set primarily in ancient Greece. His books include “Gates of Fire,” about the battle of
Thermopylae, and “The Virtues of War,” about Alexander the Great. He is also the author of “The Legend of Bagger Vance” and “The War of Art,” a non-fiction book about the craft of writing. He’s a 1965 graduate of Duke
University. He lies in Los Angeles.
