One of the best columns I have read in recent memory is Ann Coulter’s column this week, “A Green Card in Every Pot.” Ann makes the point that when you bring tens of millions of Latin Americans into a country (US) that no longer makes any effort to assimilate its immigrants nor teach them any American history or traditional American values or American customs, then what you will wind up with is a country (US) that will become just another Latin American banana republic. It is true. So true that you could cry.
I just finished reading the autobiography of famed film director, Frank Capra. The book was published in 1971. It was one of those books that I had sitting on my shelf for years that, for one reason or another, I never got around to reading. A friend, noticing the book, mentioned how great a read it was and prompted me to finally read it myself. He was right – it was a wonderful read.
Following the president’s press conference yesterday, mainstream media is falling all over itself this morning warning that Bush to looking to make war in Iran using the same rational that he used to go to war with Iraq. It is hard to know if the press is spinning out of a left-wing political bias, or if they are just plain stupid.
Interesting, I think, that three of our most important American presidents were born in February. This Tuesday, February 6th, is President Reagan’s birthday — he would have been 96. No one was a better communicator than was President Reagan, so who’s words could speak for him better than his own? In honor of his birthday, then, I attach some of his quotes. Enjoy!
Islam is at war with the world. This statement is most certainly a fact and yet it is amazing how many of us are either not aware of it, or don’t believe it. One doesn’t have to look at the attacks on just the West over the course of the past two decades as proof, consider what has happened in Indonesia and what continues to go on in Ethiopia. Islamic Jihadists have vowed to turn Africa totally Islamic, and they’re off to a good start with the slaughter that is going on now. President Bush had all good intentions in his War on Terror, but in the end could not overcome political correctness, Democrat hammering, and the hateful partisan media. So what now?
Since the midterm elections are “right around the corner,” as they say, this is the ideal time to offer up some handy votiing tips for the undecided, uninformed, uneducated, and /or unwashed (You know who you are) among the registered voters who are not quite sure whether to go Democrat or Republican.
President Bush finally, actually used the correct term, “Islamo-facist” in a speech last month and all hell broke loose. Arab groups screamed “racisim.” Liberals were apalled. And because of the uproar instigated by terrorist front groups like CAIR, the Bush administration caved under political correctness once again. No matter what you call the war we are engaged in, the truth is we are at war with radical Islam. Or more to the point, they are at war with us. They started it more than 30 years ago. Now, as we appoach the 5th anniversary of 9/11, let us once again review who it is that we are at war with and why — just in case some of us don’t know or have forgotten. The following represents just a sample of what the Arab and Islamic militants have done to Americans for over three decades.
There are 2 million Muslims in the U.K. In a recent poll, 81% of them said that they considered themselves Muslims before they considered themselves British. In America, towns like Deerborn, Michigan and Oakland, California house communities of U.S.-born citizens of Arab/Isamic heritage that actually hate America. They only part of American culture they embrace is the Hip-Hop Gansta culture.
