The singular act of a policeman pressing his knee down on the neck of an arrestee resulting in that person’s death, something all reasonable people condemn, may turn out to be one of the most pivotal events in U.S history. The death of George Floyd has been the catalyst for a full-blown opportunistic insurrection by anarchists who want to destroy the president, the government, democracy and the nation itself.
In response to 9/11, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor, said, “America’s chickens have come home to roost.” And so have chickens in the rioting, looting, arson and violence we’ve seen in cities all over the country. They are the results of decades of leftist indoctrination in schools and colleges. From the moment children step foot in kindergarten until students graduate from high school or college, they are taught to hate America. We see that hatred play out on the riot-torn and occupied streets of American cities.
Having never been taught history, these brainwashed radicals are now out to destroy history as statues are torn down and pressure succeeds in banning movies and TV shows and having consumer products dropped or re-named. It’s amazing how quickly cowardly corporations caved to demands, instantly overreacting rather than taking time to reflect. If only there had been no “Uncle Ben’s Rice” George Floyd would still be alive today? If only there had been no “Eskimo Pie?”
Where statues are concerned, even such Founding Father giants as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and the president who ended slavery, Abraham Lincoln, are not exempt from the misguided wrath of the ignorant. And there’s pressure to re-name streets and even cities. For example, there’s a target on the back of the name “Columbus” in Ohio, the state capital, because Christopher Columbus is now seen as a monster.
The anarchists have a friend in the mainstream media’s lies about America being an inherently racist country. They would have us believe that a raging firestorm of racism penetrates every aspect of American life every minute of every day. But here in the real world people know better. People of varying colors interact regularly in work, social or casual situations and for the most part get along just fine. In our personal day-to-day experiences, cordiality among the races is more the rule than the exception. A systemically racist nation would not have elected a black president. With blacks making up 13% of the population it took millions of non-black votes to elect Barack Obama. Twice.
Black lives matter? Of course they do, but apparently not all black lives matter. If they did the BLM movement would condemn the black-on-black violence plaguing many U.S. cities, Chicago being the worst, and would condemn black rioters destroying black-owned businesses in Minneapolis and other cities. On these outrages, silence.
And speaking of non-condemnation, I give you the Democrats. As city after city suffers violent insurrection, not so much as a “tsk tsk” from Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, AOC and their fellow travelers. I can only interpret their silence as support for the mob. This more than anything else demonstrates what is at stake in November’s elections. It comes down to a choice between civilization and chaos. An exaggeration? Not if Democrats in power in Washington govern the way their fellow Democrats do as mayors of most of the cities that have erupted the past few weeks. If you like what these Democrats have done to their cities you’ll love what Washington Democrats would do to the country.
Should Biden be elected, this mentally-defective shell of his former self will be president in name only, a hapless puppet for the leftist radicals who control the Democrat Party. We can kiss goodbye our freedoms, our safety and most definitely any hope of going back to the pre-virus economy.
Because an incompetent Minneapolis police officer gave a whole new and ugly meaning to the term “taking a knee,” the U.S. is now threatened by an element that wants to bring this country to its knees. What happens over the next few months and on November third could be the most significant period in the life of this country that any of us have ever known.
