Once again the Arab/Islamists prove themselves hypocrites of the first order – or people blind to even the most outrageous irony or avid students of the Joseph Goebbels school of propaganda.
I’m referring to Egypt’s Islamist president Mohamed Morsi’s reaction to the minor backlash his anti-Semitic remarks have finally caused in the West. He probably thought he wasn’t saying anything everyone else wasn’t also at least thinking, when he said Jew are “descendants of apes and pigs,” and he may be right, but the U.S. and most of the West is still not prepared to drop entirely its façade of civility. So, now that the mainstream media has finally picked up on a story some others have been covering from the start, some people are offended.
And the Egyptian government happens to live off the money from the people who are offended, so Morsi had to say something to smooth things over.
He wants that money and he wants those war planes. And he wants my tax dollars to help him fund his fight to annihilate half the world’s Jews, his neighbors in Israel, while blaming their plight on the Jews themselves.
But, in his attempt at damage control, at a meeting with US senators in Cairo, Morsi was unable to keep the depth and breadth of his Jew-hatred out of his mouth.
“At first, the Egyptian president defended himself by saying he did not harbor negative feelings about Judaism or Jewish people,” according to reports of the meeting. “He then launched a diatribe about Israeli policies against the Palestinians. He was attempting to explain himself … then he said, ‘Well, I think we all know that the media in the United States has made a big deal of this and we know the media of the United States is controlled by certain forces and they don’t view me favorably.’”
Though he didn’t actually say The Jews control American media, one senator there reportedly said in an interview that everyone in the room knew what he meant, and that he saw them “physically recoil,” when he said it.
“So, let’s get this straight,” one media watchdog group writes.
“According to Morsi, the Jews distorted his anti-Semitic comments.”
You just couldn’t make this up, they say. “But will the mainstream media report it?”
It’s an excellent question. But I have not seen it reported, not even in the New York Times, which was the main outlet to pick up on the other vile rhetoric. So, it doesn’t look like it.
But, this is not a big surprise to me. These are the same people who go ape-poop over cartoon implications that Islam may have anger management issues, completely missing the irony in their rioting over those cartoons, basically saying, ‘how dare you call us violent! We’ll kill you!’
It would be funny if it weren’t so deadly serious.
