Besides the alarm over the enemy’s ability to strike so far into Israel, the fact that the Islamists chose to fire rockets at Jerusalem as they did recently has some even wider implications.
First, the Muslims claim the city is an Islamic holy site.
Who hurls missiles into their own holy site? Who risks destroying their own most holy places?
Well, I think the answer is no one does.
This leaves us with two possible explanations for this seemingly inexplicable behavior.
Maybe Jerusalem is not really holy to Muslims.
There is some evidence to suggest that saying it is has been a ploy from the beginning to find an excuse to lay claim to a place to which they know perfectly well they have no legitimate right.
For one thing, Jerusalem, while mentioned 600 times in the Bible, is noted exactly zero times in the Koran.
That says something.
Also, while the Jews pray facing Jerusalem wherever they actually are, the Muslims face Mecca, and when actually in Jerusalem, literally stick their arses up at the site believed to be where Solomon’s Temple stood.
They use the area surrounding what the Jews call the Temple Mount, to play soccer and have picnics, which is not necessarily the kind of respect most people show holy places.
They use their claim to the area to prevent Jews from coming to pray at Judaism’s holiest site, and who knows what kind of cosmic imbalance that might be causing.
Also, when they go on the warpath, they’ve been known to litter that mosque with rocks.
This brings me to the second explanation.
Maybe, Islam itself is missing some of the elements that make a religion a legitimate pathway to worship God.
There seems to be some evidence to suggest that, too.
They blow up mosques more than they blow up anything else, for one thing.
Also, they use mosques as weapons depots and missile launch sites and seem to think their holiest days, like Ramadan, are perfectly natural times to initiate violent attacks.
This is a religion that seems to prize death over life, which is, I think, fairly unique among legitimate faiths.
Or, maybe it’s both.
Maybe Islam is a fake; a savage, violent cult using any means its leaders can think of including overtaking other people’s holy sites and claiming them as their own. Then they built mosques over them and create stories to justify the plunder, with the ultimate goal being to overtake the entire world, spreading out like a black fog from Islam’s epicenter.
If this is the case, I think it frees the Jews, (and the Christians if they’re paying attention) to divest Jerusalem of the “Dome of the Rock” and the Al-Aqsa Mosque – the structures preventing the rebuilding of the Temple there and doing the meaningful archeology needed to help mankind understand its history.
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful irony if a couple of the barbarians’ own Iranian-made-and-supplied weapons landed on those landscape blemishes and caused them to collapse?
Should that happen, the enemy would no-doubt try to blame the Jews for bringing down their faux holy sites, but so what? Being rid of those excuses would go a long way toward making what’s going on now in the Holy Land worth the ugliness the enemy is foisting on the world in general and the Jews in particular.
