Associated Press reports that former President Jimmy “The Kook” Carter this week said there’s nothing wrong with Islamists taking over Egypt, because that’s the will of the Egyptian people.
He is out of his ever-lovin’ mind.
That anti-Semite’s Carter Center sent 40 observers to monitor Egypt’s parliamentary elections, that have said they’re “very pleased” with the way things have gone.
Isn’t that special?
The fact that Islamist parties (read Iran) “have taken a solid majority in the parliament,” according to reports, that “the Muslim Brotherhood has won between 40 and 50 percent of the vote,” with “a coalition of ultraconservative Salafi Muslim parties” garnering another 20 percent,” is nothing to be concerned about, Crazy Carter said.
“I don’t have any problem with that, and the U.S. government doesn’t have any problem with that either,” he reportedly said. “We want the will of the Egyptian people to be expressed.”
I have news for Mr. Carter – he does not speak for me, and I don’t believe he speaks for the U.S. government. At least I hope not.
How could it possibly be OK for Islamists to take over Egypt or any place else?
The will of the people, who ever they are, is nice, unless, as in this and several other spectacular cases throughout history, the people have no idea what the hell they’re doing.
Hitler was elected by the will of the German people, and look how nicely that turned out.
Although, it might just have been OK with Mr. Carter. Do we know what side the guy was on in that one? I’m not sure we do.
Anyway, a people who have spent generations under an iron-fisted despot, fed a constant diet of lies and propaganda, aren’t necessarily equipped to make the best decisions for themselves. And in this case, and in most if not all the so-called Arab Spring countries, the likelihood is that they will each hold one election and vote themselves right out of any chance for anything resembling democracy.
It will only get worse – for them, and, more importantly as far as I’m concerned – for Israel and the West.
And there we have our own ex-prez – he of the ferocious, giant swimming bunny – telling the world the United States is perfectly fine with Islamo-Fascists taking over the world, as long as it’s “the will of the people.”
I have a great idea. How about Carter stays permanently in Egypt and reports back in a few years? I’d be interested in hearing how the will of the Egyptian people is working out for him.
