Because the United Nations has devolved into an openly anti-Semitic, anti-Israel waste of prime New York real estate, several countries will boycott a meeting there to mark the 10th anniversary of the so-called Durban conference on racism.
Many of the U.N. member countries’ representatives are perfectly comfortable in a forum in which Israel and Jews are openly reviled, being generally of that mindset at home. But, since the U.N. was formed in the aftermath of the Holocaust to try and get nations to work together to prevent a recurrence of such a thing, it is especially disgusting that it’s been allowed to descend into an anti-Semitic cesspool.
Anyway, Israel will boycott the meeting that was approved by a vote on Christmas Eve, 104 in favor to 55 either against or abstaining.
In a statement, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said he regrets that a topic as important as fighting racism has been hijacked by anti-Jewish hate mongers.
But it has been.
Israeli officials said that “the Durban Conference of 2001, with its anti-Semitic undertones and displays of hatred for Israel and the Jewish World, left us with scars that will not heal quickly.”
So she won’t be there to “celebrate” the anti Jewish hate-fest in Durban.
The heartening news is that Canada won’t be there, either, with officials there saying last month that, “Canada will not participate in this charade.”
The Canadian statement added, that “Canada is clearly committed to the fight against racism, but the Durban process commemorates an agenda that actually promotes racism rather than combats it.”
The United States, which also opposed the so-called Durban III resolution, stated that it “voted ‘no’ because the Durban Declaration process has included ugly displays of intolerance and anti-Semitism, and we do not want to see that commemorated.”
And, in case you want to go out and buy something from or visit or write a thank-you note to the other countries that did the right thing and voted against this commemoration, they are: Australia, Bulgaria Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Netherlands, Palau, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and the United Kingdom.
To imagine holding what will essentially be a Hitler rally in the middle of New York is obscene. But it looks like it’s going to happen, anyway, because the Muslim and pro-Muslim countries of the world outnumber the good guys by a significant margin.
Yet another good reason, I say, to remove the U.N. from the U.S.
