Given that we’ve suffocated under the Obama regime for 16 months now, we know that we wake up every day to some new horror coming from him and his administration. Just when you think you’ve heard it all, some new appalling nightmare is sprung upon us.

Today’s outrage: The Drudge Report is reporting that Obama plans to bag the annual Memorial Day service at Arlington National Cemetery in order to spend the long weekend on vacation in Chicago. Instead of appearing at Arlington—the national symbol of our war dead—Obama will stop by the Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Illinois. Yes, at least he’s making an appearance at some cemetery that day, but come on. There’s a reason the Commander-in-Chief has always shown up at Arlington: it sends a highly visible message that he deeply honors the men and women who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this great nation. But Obama would rather eat deep-dish pizza in his hometown all weekend and then squeeze in a little speech at a local cemetery.

The message he is sending is one unbecoming of the Commander-in-Chief. It’s disgraceful, and it’s dangerous. If he doesn’t care enough about our war dead to show up at Arlington, why should our enemies care about making even more American war dead?
