Islamic terrorists are mass killers who slaughter in the name of their faith. And like mass killers of other stripes, Muslim terrorists operate in the dark shadows, and then usually carry out their barbaric acts in small confined places where innocent civilians (wearing suits and jeans, not military uniforms) gather—subways, airplanes, office towers, and schools.

Today comes word from Moscow of yet another terrorist strike by Muslim fanatics. The death toll is reaching 40 and climbing. The target was the busy Moscow subway line, which was not a new target for them. In the past few years, Islamic maniacs targeted the London Tube and the Spanish commuter train system. Two female suicide bombers carried out the attack this time, but they could have been any Muslim extremists.

This is just the latest in the long, long, long line of Islamic terror attacks going back to the 15th century. There are the infamous, spectacular attacks, of course: September 11, 2001, the Bali nightclub bombing, the Mumbai bombings, the slaughter at the Russian elementary school. The list goes on. We also know about the endless plots that have been disrupted. And we hear of the lesser-known but just as important attacks: Fort Hood, Little Rock, etc. Palestinian terror is cut from the same cloth.

Islamic murderers choose targets in order to maximize terror. They largely succeed: American cities have increased security today in light of the Moscow attack. But the slaughter today in Russia should serve as a reminder that the enemy hasn’t been distracted by health care “reform,” cap and trade, taking over GM, or any of the other ridiculous agenda items Obama and Team have been chasing.

They are single-minded killers. And they hunt their prey where we live, work, and move. They kill in subways and trains and airplanes and schools. They kill under the ground and in the sky. They kill in small, confined spaces, like the rats they are.
