Barack Obama is one of the most calculating and political president in American history but Rush Limbaugh is only creating sympathy for him and the democrats with his remarks that Obama is using the disaster for political gain.

 

Here is a better approach. George Clooney and the usual cast of Hollywood liberal suspects are hosting a telethon on MTV next week to raise money for the Haitian people. This is a kind humanitarian gesture, no one would dispute that. But how about a telethon for the American people who have lost their homes, their jobs and their future as a result of a government-induced economic meltdown?

Here we see liberal Hollywood and its absolute disconnect with reality, the importance of business and corporations to a healthy economy and the predicaments of middle-class Americans. As my school teacher girl friend put it, it is easy to be idealistic when you are rich. The truth is the people Hollywood liberals are most compassionate for are themselves.
