Bill Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist, today was denied entry into Canada by that nation’s border officers in Toronto.

No explanation was immediately given for putting him on a plane back to Chicago, his hometown. He had been scheduled to give a series of lectures on urban education.

Canada for years was a refuge for various draft dodgers and terrorists (like the nuts who planted a fatal bomb in a University of Wisconsin at Madison science lab). Canada seemed proud of being a haven for kooks and the violent.

So, the question now is: Canada, you had a chance to take Ayers off our hands, but you didn’t. Is Ayers now too much, even for you?
