How would they react if it were an effigy of Barack Obama? Of any black man? Of Sen. Biden? Of any woman besides Palin?
To ask the question is to know the answer.
I think people ought to be able to say or display anything that doesn’t immediately incite violence. (Does this display immediately incite violence? Again, if it were of Sen. Obama, the police’s opinion would almost certainly be that it does.) If we’re going to permit excess on one side, we can’t censor it on the other. This display and the non-reaction to it is just another example of the hypocrisy of the Left: No outcry, no complaint, just cheers for violence and hate directed against those they oppose. To the Left, “Someobdy please hang Sarah Palin!” is just one more welcome sentiment in a universe of ugly, hypocritical blather. Sickening bunch.
