It’s a quick outline of the class-rewards that the Obama - Biden ticket offers, which the McCain - Palin ticket offers (to the socially anxious) only blood, sweat, toil and tears.  The class warfare that Obama’s actual policies will lead to are mollified by the class-rewards that he offers to supporters that are middle- or lower-middle-class, or are anxious about their status for pychological reasons.  For obvious reasons, American Jews are particularly vulnerable to this pitch - although they sadly have forgotten why they are.

The spectacle of the assimilated grandchildren of the greatest-generation Jews now retired in Florida rushing to assure their poppas and nanas that they have nothing to worry about - that the kids in college have it covered for them, under the leadership of Major Barbara - whoops I mean Major Sarah Silverman - is amusing and depressing.  I wonder what the effect will be?
