Does Israel, amongst others have an undisputed causes belli against Iran? If the story that an Iranian ship carrying dirty bomb materials has been captured by Al Qaeda is true, she sure does. At the moment the ship is in Muscat and the sailors on board are being released. The US has facilities in Muscat, hence one can hope that it has had the opportunity not only to inspect the cargo but also make sure it will not going to cause any harm.

But let’s start from the beginning. MV Iran Deyanat was captured on August 21st. A recently released Indian sailor reports:

 

They chased our vessel and then flung a 10 meter-long ladder and boarded the ship. As soon as they got on board, they started firing and they were armed with swords and advanced arms and ammunitions. . . .They held the crew at gunpoint for every small request.

On Sept. 10, the US treasury designated the Iranian government company for proliferation activity. It should be noted that the ship arrived to the Gulf of Aden a week earlier than expected.

On Sept 12, the Iranian press reported that “the US the naval fleet off the Somali coast alleges that The Iran Diyanat was carrying ‘uranium and chemical weapons’. Moreover, the US offered to pay the pirates 7 million dollars just to inspect the ship.

 

Why did Iran publish the American offer? In order to prevent the pirates from accepting it. Only traitors to Islam would help the Great Satan gather evidence against another Muslim.

Within days Somalia originated stories about the harm caused to those attempting to inspect the cargo found their way to he press along with . The Long War Journal wrote:

 

The MV Iran Deyanat was brought to Eyl, a sleepy fishing village in northeastern Somalia, and was secured by a larger gang of pirates - 50 on board and 50 onshore. Within days, pirates who had boarded the ship developed strange health complications, skin burns and loss of hair.Independent sources tell The Long War Journal that a number of pirates have also died. “Yes, some of them have died. I do not know exactly how many but the information that I am getting is that some of them have died,” Andrew Mwangura, Director of the East African Seafarers’ Assistance Program, said Friday when reached by phone in Mombasa.

After weeks of sitting in a small Somali port with American and Russians ships standing watch, it was released. According to Brian Harring’s Russian intelligence sources the ship carried containers filled with radio active material designed to be released in the Eastern Mediterranean. 

 

Although American intelligence and government sources are maintaining a strictly observed silence, the same does not apply to the Russians and so it is that we learn the real story of the MV Iran Deyanat. She was an enormous floating dirty bomb, intended to detonate after exiting the Suez Canal at the eastern end of the Mediterranean and in proximity to the coastal cities of Israel. The entire cargo of radioactive sand, obtained by Iran from China (the latter buys desperately needed oil from the former) and sealed in containers which, when the charges on the ship are set off after the crew took to the boats, will be blasted high into the air where prevailing winds will push the highly dangerous and radioactive cloud ashore.

Of course, there is no point noting that such a scenario would kill probably more Sunni Muslims than Jews and Christians. Jihadists have proven they could not care less. After all, this world is just a way station to a virgin filled heaven. Hence, true Islamists choose death not only for themselves but for the rest of us. Still, Somali Al Qaeda Muslims may not be willing to help those Shia infidels achieve such an important victory.

On October 10th the ship was released and made its way to Oman. There the fewer than usual foreign crew is being released.

What about the greater the larger than usual Iranian crew and the ship. We do not know. The story is spiked.

Why? Perhaps, it was just another case of much ado about nothing. For if it was not, Obama’s campaign would suffer, not to mention, that something serious would have to be done about Iran.

Be that as it may, Jews are urged to choose life. So, the Torah commands, “If Someone Comes to Kill You, Rise Up and Kill Him First … ” and the rest, as Hillel said, is commentary.
