Look-a here! Children lined up to (literally) sing the praises of their king! (Hint:  It’s an Obama video.) It seems that many people are desperate for some convenient mortal to worship.

I read a comment on this at YouTube from an Obama supporter to a McCain supporter, and it charged that if this were a McCain song, there’d be no objection from anyone on the Right. The answer to that, of course, is that most McCain supporters and conservatives don’t find this kind of song constructive, persuasive, wise (pick your own adjective) in the first place. And I think most reasonable folks would never volunteer their kids for empty-headed cheerleading in the first place–especially of the political stripe, and even more especially in this way so reminiscent of Chinese and North Korean hymns to their dictators.
