I wish someone, somewhere would write in plain language what exactly will happen to typical families if the bailout doesn’t pass. All I have read is that “Main Street will suffer.” But this is never followed by examples. Will my paychecks bounce? Will my retirement fund be rendered wrothless? Will my savings account be drained? Will my mortgage lender demand immediate full payment? Instead, all we get are vague warnings about the moon turning to blood and the animals beginning to speak. I oppose the bailout because no one I normally trust seems to have the foggiest idea why I should support it except for “cos I said so.”
