So libs say that George Bush has rolled back civil rights–even human rights over the threat of terrorism. They say that affecting our personal freedom of choice one iota over even the threat of death makes Bush the worst and most evil world leader on the world stage. Oooookay. But the Democrats are fine banning (wait for it…) fried foods at their convention. Yes, you read right. Fried foods. Sure, extra screening at the airports is a violation of civil rights, per the ACLU crowd, but banning fried foods? That’s just the smart thing to do!

To take this as seriously as I have with my little opening joke is to take the Democrats themselves too seriously. I hope some Republican ad-makers seize on this. Let the heartland hear about this prissy behavior and Dems will lose votes, period. Banning fried foods. Wow. I guess that’s what liberals think makes America strong:  sending out convention food police to keep people from eating fried foods. Attention tough-guy Senator Jim Webb: This is the party you switched to. Enjoy your arugula, you big strong man, you.
