Hillary Clinton today said, in so many words, that one of the reasons she’s staying in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is in case Barack Obama is assassinated the way Robert Kennedy was. Her campaign is denying that’s what she meant, but that’s clearly what she meant.
Hillary has gone from playing the gender card to playing the race card to now playing the assassination card. It’s not shocking that the Clintons recognize their only chance for her to win is for Obama to be taken out with a bullet, but even knowing how low they have stooped in the past, it’s surprising that she would come right out and say so. As big a Clinton-hater as I am, I under-estimated the extent of their evil. Maybe Hillary has been waiting for an assassination to happen, and because it hasn’t yet she decided she’d better put the idea into the head of some nut case. Well, the suggestion is out there now.
Not only is Hillary’s assassination wish a stomach-wrenching moment for Obama and his family, but I don’t think a reminder of RFK’s murder makes Ted Kennedy’s week any easier to bear. But then, Teddy didn’t endorse Hillary so why should the Clintons care about his feelings?
The Clintons are the two most despicable human beings, if they are human, to ever pour poison into the bloodstream of American politics. What is depressing is that if she doesn’t win the nomination — and I won’t believe she’s not the eventual nominee until I see the names on the presidential ballot on Election Day in November — it only postpones her “Blind Ambition Tour” for another four years. She’ll be back again in 2012, lying, cheating and doing or saying anything, absolutely anything, to win.
Can she get any lower? For the Clintons there is no bottom. Stay tuned.
