Albanian PM Sali Berisha late Monday in Tirana encouraged the representatives of the political parties of the Albanians in South Serbia that they will have support from the Albanian government for their legitimate requests.
Previously representatives of these parties discussed with Berisha the political situation in Serbia prior to early parliamentary elections in Serbia on May 11 and expressed need of respect of fundamental rights of the Albanians in Serbia.

Basha met in Tirana with leader of the Democratic Union of the Albanians in Montenegro Ferhat Donosha and they discussed the political situation in Presevo Valley, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and the region, Albanian agency Balkan Web reported.
Meanwhile, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are saying that Bush should not attend opening ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics. Regardless of how hypocritical this suggestion is coming from both of these dingbats, they are correct. But Albania is going to be there, and if Albania goes, then America has to go, because remember: BFF: Best Friends Foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! xoxoxoxoxo !!!
“We strongly support the Beijing Olympic Games and oppose any attempts to link the sports event with the Tibet issue,” Stavri Bello, general secretary of Albania’s National Olympic Committee, told Chinese ambassador to Albania, Wang Junling.
Bello said Albania had already decided on the government officials to attend the opening ceremony of the Games and on the athletes to take part in the sports competition.
Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has already made public that he would attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.
Some subtext on the “freedom-fighting” Albanians’ enthusiasm for Olympics in Beijing: China is one of the main obstacles at the UN for Kosovo’s independence, so it would be a real prize if Albanians could get its recognition of an independent Kosovo.
Meanwhile, note the Albanian dismissiveness toward the plight of Tibetans, for whom the precedent created by the Kosovo Albanians’ bogus persecution claims has given a ray of hope for Tibet’s far more legitimate case based on real persecution.
