This shot is making the rounds of the Internet. e.g. here, here and here. Details on its origins are sketchy, but according to (what appears to be) the original posting on Flickr, it was taken on April 9 by this woman (”dead-ro”) in San Francisco. I can’t find any other shots of this sign in the large Flickr photo pool dedicated to the April 9 S.F. torch protest — which could mean the photo is a (hilarious) fraud. Or it could mean that the protester only had the sign up for a moment or two before some kind soul told him he was making an idiot of himself (and his high-school history teacher besides). — jkay@nationalpost.com
