The dimwits who inhabit the local government of Berkeley, CA and the Mayor of Toledo, OH have reinforced the genius of Mark Twain. In Berkeley, city officials told a Marine recruiting station that it is “not welcome in the city.” They also reserved a special parking space in front of the station for anti-war harridans, CodePink, to harass anyone who might have the temerity to consider a military career.
Not to be outdone, Toldeo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner ordered 200 Marines preparing to do urban combat training out of his city because “they frighten people.” The Marines had trained in Toldeo on four previous occasions without a problem.
It is no secret the American left’s familiarity with liberty has bred contempt for those that provide and protect it. And it is precisely that contempt that reveals them for the children they are. Children live in a world where fairy tales come true and evil is always conquered–by magic.
Perhaps some of the magic would rub off if these patheticos took a quick sight-seeing trip. Start with the 18-acre ditch were the World Trade Towers once stood. After that, maybe a visit to the NYC Medical Examiners Office where technicians spent over four years identifying the remains of 9/11 victims. Maybe they could finish up with a stop at Arlington National Cemetery to see the thousands of heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect EVERY American.
Even contemptuous and contemptible children masquerading as government officials.
