It is not often I read something so incredible it feels like a hard slap across the face. But one sentence in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece, “This Will Make Voter Fraud Easier” by John Fund did the trick:

“After 9/11, the Justice Department found that eight of the 19 hijackers were registered to vote.”

That’s right, my friends. Eight dedicated members of Osama Bin Laden’s mass-murdering army, eight of the nineteen who crashed jetliners into the Pentagon and World Trade Center exterminating nearly 3,000 Americans–were capable of casting a ballot for the candidates of their choice in an American election.

And who might some of those candidates be? Perhaps those who favor giving drivers licenses to illegals. Perhaps those who oppose any sort of picture ID at the polls. Perhaps those who support allowing convicted felons to vote.

Democrats, one and all, led by the Great Obfuscater herself, Hillary Clinton. After tap dancing all over the issue on Tuesday night, she is now on board with New York governor Eliot Spitzer, another Democrat, who believes one of our nation’s primary sources of identification should be made available to illegal aliens–and by extension, terrorists.

What could be more threatening to our democratic republic than voter fraud? Nothing. What could be more threatening to the ambitions of the American Left–MoveOn.org, Code Pink, George Soros, Clinton, Obama, Edwards, et al–than fraud-FREE elections? Nothing.

8 of 19 HIJACKERS were registered? How many of the 12-20 million illegal aliens in the country can make the same boast?

In the 2008 election, two political parties will be vying for your vote. It is worth remembering which party is willing to make a complete mockery of your one opportunity to participate in our democratic process. As a conservative, it is somewhat annoying to realize that a liberal “cancels out” my vote.

That an illegal alien–or a terrorist thug–could do the same thing is an absolute outrage.
