The New York Times and Washington Post are running with stories about Jack Goldsmith’s opposition to the Bush administration’s attempt to perform an end-run on civil liberties issues when it came to the war on terror.
The details are fascinating, but the substance is old news. More interesting developments are taking place in Germany, where two Germans and one Turk have just been arrested for allegedly planning to bomb numerous American military installations.
