Jose Cuervo (god I can’t even type that without dry heaving), has announced their latest kitschy promotion - the world’s longest shot chain. Now, I’m not really sure what a shot chain technically is, but it appears to involve you sending in videos of yourself doing shots of Cuervo (gagging again).

I tried to go to the mircosite to investigate further, but of course it was a flash site (undoubtedly with just one URL, making organic content distribution next to impossible), that also involved pop ups (which were blocked by my computer). Because I really don’t feel like unblocking my popups and downloading Flash version 192.0, we’ll have to take AdFreak’s word that the copy reads, “There are few opportunities in life to join together with your fellow man and be part of something truly universal. Only one depends upon knocking back a shot of Cuervo.”

While the site remains a mystery to me, I’m actually pretty geaked (I totally just used the word geaked), to see the result. Let’s face it, this could be pretty hilarious.

(By the way, don’t you love how sites for alcohol and tobacco make you choose the year you were born from a drop down menu before you enter? I find this absurd for two reasons, 1 - underagers can just lie (obvi), and 2 - they always have like, the year 2005, as an option. As if some 2 year old is going to be surfing the net in hopes of joining the world’s longest Cuervo shot chain. Look what unmoderated television has done to our youth!)
