Curious about how your candidate if faring on MySpace? YouTube? Technorati tracks? Check out techPresident, a site that tracks how candidates, and voters are using new Web 2.0 platforms like social networking and video sharing sites.
With respect to the ostensibly all-important MySpace friend count, Obama (137,176) currently leads Clinton (39,067), Edwards (23,053) and the rest of the Democratic field, while McCain (15,775) and Romney (9,297) are the stand out Republicans.
Of course, this entire site begs the question of the actual importance of all this. Will MySpace friends and YouTube viewers actually turn out to vote? I guess that all remains to be seen - though the earned media, coupled with the looming MySpace primary election, are certainly reason enough to stay on top of the Web 2.0 game.
