If you’re reading this you’re probably more than familiar with dozens of media pundits, all touting their perceptions and analysis about the day’s issues and events. The majority just now are proclaiming failure and defeat – it doesn’t really matter which subject.
What’s my point? Pundits get it wrong. Always have – always will.
Why? Pundits are like pedestrians at the seashore, making judgments about the great oceans and what’s happening across the world. Their opinions are based on the waves they observe crashing against the shore. That’s the problem.
Pundits, whether employed in the media or self-appointed, don’t see much of the big picture - just a glimpse of what’s happening down at the water’s edge. Maybe this doesn’t apply to all pundits – but until proven otherwise, that’s the way to bet.
This is my first post here and my pledge to any who should stumble across this page is that I won’t pundit – my interest is in finding the comedy in everyday life. When I find it I’ll let you know.
