Following the president’s press conference yesterday,mainstream media is falling all over itself this morning warning that Bush to looking to make war in Iran using the same rational that he used to go to war with Iraq.  It is hard to know if the press is spinning out of a left-wing political bias, or if they are just plain stupid. 

President Bush may be the worst communicator ever to occupy the White House, but I got his message clear enough yesterday.  What he said basicly was that it really doesn’t matter whether or not the top leaders are ordering weapons and terrorists into Iraq to do battle with American forces, the point is these weapons and terrorists are coming across from Iran in large numbers.  That is the whole point.  And that is what we must address and stop.  The elites in the media will not report it in those terms since they are concerned with only one thing — making Bush look wrong and wicked anyway they can.

I do not agree with many things that this president has done with regards to domestic spending, immigration, and many aspects of the war.  But I know that Bush understands what is at stake in the War with Islam and why it must be fought.  I do not believe the majority of Americans are fully aware of what we are up against.  The leftists of the media and academia do their best to make it all seem like this whole thing has been caused by George W. Bush.  It is amazing that so many of my fellow Americans have swallowed this.  Do they really have such short memories?  Or is it easier to fool themselves into thinking if only Bush were gone everything would be honky-dorey again. 

If we all, liberals and conservatives alike, want to see “peace in our time” to coin a familiar phrase, then we need to get serious about this war.  We need to open our eyes to the realities of the world.  We need to address our true enemies, the people who want to see us dead, in a sober, hard way.  No more spinning.  No more excuses.  No more partisan politics.  No more politically correct thinking.  We need to confornt our emenies and do battle once and for all.

If this means Iran has to be taken out, so be it.  The sooner the better.
